There are currently around 851 wild horses living in Mongolia: As of December 2021, 349 takhi live in the Great Gobi “B” Strictly Protected Area, 380 takhi in the Hustai National Park, and 122 in the Khomyn Tal National Park. The wild horses survived the winter well.
